The European Commission has established a High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance to advice on developing a comprehensive EU strategy on sustainable finance. The HLEG comprises 20 senior experts from civil society, the finance sector and academia as well as several observers from European and international institutions and financial sector associations.
Mid July the HLEG has published its first report setting out concrete steps to create a financial system that supports sustainable investments. The Commission will explore some key early recommendations to take further steps towards a low carbon, more resource-efficient and sustainable economy.
The joint event by FNG, Eurosif and CSP addresses the implications of the HLEG report also for the Swiss market and hosts a panel discussion with different stakeholders.
